Jump Tactics Episode III- Headlong April 26, 2005 (news link) : Kahai maluu writes in the forum that the Jump Tactics crowd has released another trick jumping vid, and it's one to watch. Check the forum link for vid links,
descriptions, credits and all sorts of 'stuff'. This is another great example of what the first post of a trick thread SHOULD
look like. Go check it out.
Thats a long way down April 14, 2005 (news link) : While messing around on Headlong I accidently got a ghost
on top of the highest building. Missed filming the launch, but I got the nice long jump down on tape. Check it out here
Reflection
of New Mombassa on Headlong documented April
4, 2005 (news link) : This wasn't in our archive, so The7ftman submitted a video of it for all to see. You can clearly see a reflection in the one of the buildings that looks exactly like the arial footage of
New Mombassa from the E3 2003 SP demo video. Check it out if you've not seen it for yourself.
Walking through solid concrete on Headlong February 28, 2005 (news link) : A very odd vid for a very odd glitch. McLrn227 and company
manage to simply "walk through walls" as if it's nothing. Check out this oddity here.
Headlong tutorials and more February 16, 2005 (news link) : Wow,quite surprised we've missed this video actually. It's brought to you by foxygrandpa117, and its a pretty simple, easy to understand tutorial for getting that warthog
out of Headlong. We've got loads of Headlong launching vids, but not many instructional vids. Good stuff guys. A bit late
but its gonna be worth it.
Extreme Home: Halo 2 Edition February 8, 2005 (news link) : Poor Bungie. They create a great game, and then these poor
morons use the game to build forts...
Haha, here's a vid showing Zarin and his construction crew hard at work creating some 'structures' out of tanks, boxes, hogs and well, pretty
much whatever they can find. Freaks.
More flag tactics from the
Pizza Clan February 2, 2005 (news link) : You saw their flag tactics vid the other day, and here's
another one they made on Headlong. They admit that much of it isn't 'useful', but it sure is cool to look at. Submitted by Max. UPDATE:
Oops, I just saw another submission by these guys, this time showing off some work they did on Lockout.
Low orbit soda February 2, 2005 (news link) : I saw this video a few days ago in the submission list,
and despite the fact that there isn't any groundbreaking footage here, the effort and dedication shown by these guys is worth
a mention, especially when you consider their goal: to launch a soda machine. (lol) I had to hold off awhile because his link
would have died, but now I think he'll be ok, provided that we don't kill this link as well. He uploaded a compressed version
(around 6 MB), because the other one (50MB) probably would have exhausted his bandwidth in a day or two. I would ask that
you PLEASE right-click and download this vid, instead of streaming. So, without further yapping, check out the soda launching. Submission by Trollhorn. UPDATE: He had to place his vid on Putfile because we were tearing through
his monthly bandwidth way too fast, so don't right-click the link any longer please.
Building forts is still cool.
January 27, 2005 (news link) : SquishyMcMan and some friends got together and relived some
childhood fun by building a fort on Headlong. Definitely a bunch creative guys ;) Go check out pictures of it right here or go reply to his thread in the forum.
Brute shot jumping January 21, 2005 (news link) : Check out this forum thread for a small video by JoseAgua that shows how to use the brutshot to get some nice air. The technique is alot like rocket
launcher jumping, but it seems that continued fire launches you even higher.
Betrayal- because I like it January 18, 2005 (news link) : This isn't a trick vid, but it's by one of our guys, so
I wanted to give everyone a heads-up about it. Baked Pigeon and a large crew of friends put together a movie called 'Betrayal',
and I like it. The quality is great, and the filming isn't bad either. You can find the original link, and add your comments,
in this forum thread, but since I wasn't sure if that link was going to hold up, I've added a mirror for it. Give it a look!
Toppers January 15, 2005 (news link) : This submission comes from Martomo, and I almost passed
it up because we have so many vids about the level Headlong, but honestly this is a very well put together vid, with
some impressive content. Get the vidlink in this forum thread, and leave comments for the group of HIH regulars who put this together.
Taking a little drive...on
top of Headlong? January 6, 2005 (news link) : Martomo and his mates managed to get a warthog all the way
on top of the level Headlong, and then they went for a nice, liesurely drive. I'd have to say that most of the trick is getting
there, (I can't wait for a vid of that) and the views are great. Excellent job on the vid (hosting by Flechette). Get the
link right here.
Some hog smashing fun
January 6, 2005 (news link) : Jeffdude1169 and company submitted this short vid, showing a warthog, underneath Headlong, and some great hog launches on Coagulation using two wraith tanks. I just thought
this was cool.
A warthog in the Headlong base
January 2, 2005 (news link) : This is a very short vid by HaloTricksters, and I don't think any further explanation is necessary. I liked the Zeppelin too. ;)
Boxes...just too good to pass up January 1, 2005 (news link) : This is another one of those vids that I thought would be
horrible, just from reading the description, and man was I wrong...again (at least I'm consistent). ZATZAi and crew
put together a very nicely edited film (on Headlong) about shoving boxes, and other stuff, into an airlift. Sound boring?
It's not- you'll like it. This is just plain old tricking fun, and I love these kind of vids. You can
get the link in this thread. Nice job guys.
Up on the high steel...alone January 1, 2005 (news link) : This one is from R2cool, and it shows how to get up on top
of the cranes in Headlong with only one player. The vid quality is very nice as well. Get the vidlink in this forum thread.
You can actually see this dummy January 1, 2005 (news link) : Stingraid posted a vid showing a player, in dummy mode, who is still visible.
More Headlong action December 22, 2004 (news link) : Last post of the day for ya here, and it's some good footage
of various types of launching on the level Headlong. Check out this forum thread for the vid link, and to make comments. Nice job P1NkP4NtH3R and crew.
To the bottom of the world...flight
of the dummy. December 22, 2004 (news link) : I'm finally getting around to doing some newsposting guys.
Sorry it's taken me so long- it's been busy, to say the least.
So, here's a vid that I liked, posted by Lee1733 a few days ago that documents the proper use of the dummy glitch (for tricking- these guys were not even
in a game) for doing some fantastic exploration. Once again, for all the credit fanatics, I'm not saying that
these guys (Lee's clan) 'discovered' this glitch. I'm simply saying that they turned in a vid that shows some cool
footage of it in action. This guy falls forever, check it out.
How can a broken wing kill me? December 10, 2004 (news link) : Injulen shakes the cam for us to show us how jumping on a 'wing' broken off of a wraith tank somehow does damage to spartans. Come on chief- killed by a broken piece of tank? Wimp. (Oh, and folks-
they don't call it shakeycam for nothin.)
Strange ladders in strange
places. December 8, 2004 (news link) : MChief515 posted in our forum about a strange ladder that he and Laagmatt found on the top of Headlong. This ladder has been mentioned before,
but there haven't been any videos of it until now. Download 'er right here.
Man, a bunch of Headlong
climbing going on December 2, 2004 (news link) : I have three forum threads to throw at you today, and each
contains a new vid that shows some climbing on the level Headlong. This thread, and also this thread were posted by Mikezip007, and contain some nice footage. Another entry comes from dacmfzb, and also has some nice climbing action. Nice job fellas. UPDATE: Oops, I just saw another
one! Check out this one, posted by Phantom (also filmed on Headlong) that shows some terrific launches done with wraith ramming. Very impressive.
UPDATE #2: Mikezip007 added another one today.
Views from the top of Headlong November 30, 2004 (news link) : Man, it's taken a few days to get to this one, but Disciple
posted some pics of getting to the very top of Headlong. Thanks toyoungtodie for the heads-up.
Jumptrocity May 14, 2005 (news link) : Superbouncing is fun, but it's even more fun when you do
it 500 feet in the air above Headlong. Eric97Camaro brings us this superjump run including not 1, 2, 3, 4, or even 5. But
6 superjumps in a row atop Headlong. Grab the video link in this thread. Awesome work Eric.
